Happy Birthday Sweet Abby Lou!

Dear Abby Lou,
Right now I am watching as you sit on the couch snuggling with your Daddy, and I am completely in awe of you!  These past 4 years have been nothing short of wonderful getting to know you.

You are a very passionate little girl, who wears her heart on her sleeve.  You love cooking, crafts, and playing with your friends.  You can spend hours on end looking up cake designs on the internet.  Your favorite t.v shows (this week) are Jake and the Neverland Pirates and Blues Clues.  You have an extreme fear of tunnel slides and refuse to play at McDonalds and Chick-fil-a, which I do not mind!  We were really excited that you had so much fun on the slides at your party, you faced your fears and won.

Abby, your love for pickles grosses me out, you want to eat them morning, noon and night.  You also love smoothies and would choose them over pretty much anything else.  You adore the color green and would be happy if everything around you was green.  You love to pretend you are a cat and you have even been known to lick the ones that you love.  I am fearful that when you leave for college the first rebellious action you take will be buying a kitten!

This year you started school.  Your Daddy and I were not sure if you were ready for this new journey, but you have done outstanding.  We very quickly learned that it was Mommy and Daddy who were not ready.  You love going to school and you are so smart, it amazes us!

Most of your life you have been adamant about becoming a chef, that is until you declared on the car ride home from school this past week that you have changed your mind.  You no longer want to be a chef, you want to be an astronaut!  I have to admit, it broke my heart.  Not because I have a strong desire for you to become a chef, but that there is absolutely no way I, as your mother, want you to fly to outer space! I can hardly handle you going off to pre-k.

So as we embark on your fifth year, I am so excited for the experiences that are to come!  I hope that you continue to create, learn, grow, and change career paths many, many times!  You are so much fun, and we are so proud to call you our daughter.

Love,
Mommy and Daddy

Wait... there's one more present!

A special shout out to Pepaw for taking pictures at the party, Uncle Kris for helping out with Mia, and Memaw for helping Abby finish her bracelets!

Oh my goodness! I cannot believe how old she looks! There is still a lot of Shawn in her, but there are a couple of pics that are looking a bit like you now! She is sooo tall. Cute pics, and it looks like the party was a lot of fun...wished we could have joined you all!
