A little bit of this a little bit of that..

Over the past month our family has been settling into our new home and new surroundings.  We are enjoying living in the middle of town and at times it feels like we have lived in this house for years.  I have gotten used to the stairs and the girls are surprisingly doing great at climbing up and down.  Shawn and I are no where near finished updating, but we are making progress.  Right now as I type, Shawn is preparing the kitchen cabinets to be painted.  I on the other hand, am busy picking out curtains for the dinning room, office, master bedroom, and playroom.  I promise to post pictures of the house when we have completed a few more projects. Here is a little sneak peek...

We have had a lot of changes and new accomplishments within the last few months including Abby starting school and Mia talking more and more everyday.  I can count on one hand how many potty accidents Abby has had this month and she is doing great in school.  My little Mia turned 18 months a couple of days ago and has really begun to communicate with us, her favorite two words are "I stuck". Here are a few pictures of what we have been doing lately.....
Mia loves to color and Abby loves to paint.
Abby wanted to have a camp out so we set up a tent in our room and let her sleep in it.  She was so cute, but then she got scared and ended up in mommy and daddy's bed!
We had some friends over for dinner one night.  Dinner was ok but dessert was a hit!
Abby had a day at school called "Wacky Wednesday".  I was instructed to let her dress herself.  This is what she wanted!  The only item I picked out was the bow. And yes she tucked her pants into her socks.
And of course more play dates with cute friends!

Moving In!

When we moved into the house the girls were reunited with all of their toys.  It was a joyous occasion for all.  With each box that was opened Mia would squeal with delight and Abby would say "I can't wait to see what's inside"! I did not want to put these pictures on here because the house had not been updated with new paint but these pictures are too cute to pass up. Just ignore the mustard color walls, which are now light blue, and the ugly curtains.
