Beautiful Christmas Chaos!

Abby's pre-k class performed the Birth of Jesus today on stage in front of the entire school.  They stole the show from all the other grades.  Abby played one of the three Wise Men and she did great!  I was super excited that Shawn was able to take the day off and come enjoy/help out with the party that was after the play.

We had a wonderful, chaotic morning!

Goodbye Fall... Hello Winter!

Before we left for Thanksgiving in Oklahoma, Abby's pre-k class learned about Native Americans and the Pilgrims.  When I went to pick her up from school, this is what she came out wearing.
She never poses for pictures but this time I think she knew how cute she was, so she struck a pose!

We also did a little bit of baking to celebrate turkey day!

Perhaps Shawn and I should have been watching her a little closer!

When we arrived back home from Oklahoma after Thanksgiving, the temperature in our town had begun to drop.  We decided to go outside and say goodbye to fall before breaking out our winter coats.

It took me a while to get into winter mode so instead of putting up the tree, I forced Shawn to help me hang our new curtains in the dinning room and office.
Behold my early Christmas present!

The next day we put up the tree.  Abby had a bit of trouble getting Santa to stay on the top.
Attempt number one!

Attempt number two!

Attempt number three!

Finally! But now Mia wanted a turn.

Now that the tree is up and presents are bought (at least most of them anyway), we have been spending a lot of time doing holiday crafts....

Gobble Gobble!

For Thanksgiving this year we traveled to Edmond, OK. to visit my parents.  On Thanksgiving day the girls got a big surprise....
Not one red headed baby but....
two red headed babies!!!

My sister, brother in law, and their boy/girl twin babies came to the "Harvest Beast" as Abby calls it.

When they arrived at my parents, Shawn brought Cason into the house first and the girls came over and gave him kisses but then when Avery was brought into the house Abby yells out "there's TWO babies!" She had met them when they were born but I guess she forgot there were two!

After my mom slaved away in the kitchen we were all ready for the Thanksgiving dinner...excuse me, the "Harvest Beast"!
I didn't think it was fair putting a picture of Shawn eating without adding a picture of me!  Shawn says I make this face to him a lot, HaHa!

For the rest of the day we snuggled with babies and watched football.
We can't wait till New Years so that my other niece Savannah and nephew Cooper can join in on all the action!

On Friday morning my sister Angie and her family left and we enjoyed a relaxing day watching more football, going to the movies (Tangled, which is super cute) and making cookies!
Mia ate more dough than she did cookies! Abby outlasted Mia and played with the dough for about an hour.  She loves cooking!

Saturday morning rolled around and we stayed in our PJ's until noon!
Mia outlasted Abby with the painting. While Abby loves cooking, Mia loves art!

When Pepaw came home from work we all got dressed and ventured out to Norman, OK. to check out the Dinosaur museum on the OU campus.

The four native's! Ok, so maybe I don't have enough Native American blood in me for this claim, and my children definitely  don't, but I like to think that my mom does. Maybe I can get a role in the next Twilight film???

After the museum, we headed out to Pops on Route 66 for a nice cold soda pop!
This little girl loves her Pepaw!  All weekend, if Pepaw left the room she would say "Pepaw, where are you?" She shed a few tears and cried out "Pepaw" when we drove away on Sunday.
