Dress up and Spray park

How could you not love them?  I thank God every day that he blessed me with these two babies!

This is the outfit that Abby wanted to wear to Church on Sunday morning!

Mia did not want to go to church! Her hair is getting longer every day.

We went to the spray park downtown this week.  It is a great opportunity for the kids to play in water without Momma getting wet!

This week started off great with church on Sunday, water park on Monday, Parents night out at our church on Tuesday.  Wednesday rolled around and Mia woke up vomiting!  I am just counting down the days until the rest of the Whiteley family comes down with this virus!

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day Shawn, we love you!

Our creative summer!

Our creative summer has been in full effect for about two weeks now!  I have been gathering, researching, and googling ideas to keep my one year old and three year old busy while we are living in a temporary apartment for the summer.  Yes, you read correctly! Our little family is currently living in a furnished apartment without our beds (crib), summer clothes, pots and pans, furniture..(I could go on). This was not what we had planned when we sold our house but we are making it work.  We have a contract on a wonderful house in a good school zone but can not move in until August (I will spare you the details).  So until then I have been tapping into my creative gene (which is extremely small) and getting busy with the girls!

Mia loves coloring!  She walks around with a crayon all day so it was not to surprising that she took to painting!

Two of Abby's favorites... the color green and kitties

Mia enjoyed splashing as much as she enjoyed painting!

One week later:

Next craft: Creating a Butterfly

Her sweet eyes just melt my heart!  She worked so hard getting those beads in!

With a little bending and shaping we created a butterfly!

Mia is a mess most of the time, just the way I like her!

Craft: Glitter Names

Shawn and I have been working with Abby on writing her name.  Her favorite letter : b not B!

We did a little glitter shaking

and a little mess making.....

and we created a little "bling"!

We did a some cooking!

I truly believe I gave birth to the next Julia.  Abby loves cooking, watching the cooking channel, and begs every morning to look up cakes on the Internet!

Craft:  Caterpillars

Abby wanted to be the caterpillar!

With some magnets on the back, I now have new fridge friends!

Craft: Sun catchers

Abby's sweet friend joined us for our craft!

In case you were wondering what Mia does during "big girl craft time"!

Craft: goggles

Just look at that tongue!  Rest a sure the blue hue is from vegetables!

Not to take away from Abby's sweet face but take a look at Shawn!  This was the first day in over 9 years that he didn't have facial hair!
